Days passed by, my relationship with Fahad improved and it was getting stronger. We were inseparable, we always manage to hide from the campers and the chaperons and have some alone time with each other,
Some days we would sneak out of the camp campus and just go somewhere near by and watch the beauty of the area surrounded us. We always sneak out alone. It’s more fun when it’s only us. Ngdar nakhth ra7atna together it feels better knowing that we’re not watched.
This time, I managed to make Fahad stay up with me to watch the sun rise. Fahad is not that romantic but he tries his best to please. He doesn’t always do what I say, but sometimes I know how to find my way around him,
Me: the sun is rising
Fahad was lying down on his back while I was on my tummy resting my head on his chest listening to his heartbeats.
We were playing “have you ever” we’ve been playing it for almost everyday now… only our rules are different… Our rules are that if we said the same answer to the question that starts with “have you ever” we would kiss, if we don’t there would be no kiss.
I raised my head from his chest and looked at him,
Me: have you ever… kissed a guy on the lips?
Fahad: 6ab3an la2
Me: well I did
We won’t kiss because our answers are not the same.
Fahad: how many guys?
Me: No ghashash may9eer … you can only ask questions that starts with “have you ever”
Fahad: enzaain ana s2alt al7een jawbay
Me: shbeefdk el jawab y3ni … (he gave me a look) uff okay, a lot
Fahad: a lot, as in 2-3 guys?
Me: No! Well a lot as in the number of girls you’ve kissed!
Fahad: ya salam 3aleech!
Me: eeh ha sh3abaalik! … Enzaain yalla it’s your turn
Fahad: enzain, have you ever drunk alcohol?
Me: once by accident! Ma kan 8a9dy
Fahad: how so?
Me: In Germany, I was young I don’t remember chum 3umry… el mhm I was running with my aunt and we decided to stop at a restaurant to chill and have something to drink… once the waiter gave us the drinks menu I quickly pointed at an ice cold blue drink kan shakla eshaawg… I was so thirsty I didn’t even ask what it was … my aunt told the waiter about our orders and he came back with my blue drink … ana mn kether ma ana 36shana awal ma 36ani el glass I drank half of it … 3gb estaw3bt, it tasted like Vicks! … kent ga3da at7al6am ena mu 3ajbni w wai3 mara7 akamla … 3mity zafatni w galatly “Allah ehadach entay kelshay t6lbeen, yuba sakray khashmich w shrbee” … I couldn’t drink it, we called the waiter w asked him what the drink was chan egool “this is alcohol” ohwa gal chethy wela 3amity t9arikh “STAGHFURALLLAAAH!!! WE ARE MUSLIMS!!!”
Fahad: KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK 3mitich film!!
7abeeeby I love his laugh!!
Me: haha w enta fe mara jarabt?
Fahad: la2!
Our answers are different,
Me: okay y3ni no kiss, so my turn, hmm have you ever bungee-jumped?
Fahad: yes
Come on this is third question. We still haven’t kissed!
Me: uggghhh lucky !! my parents mayr’9oon!! How was it!
Fahad: I’ll take you
Me: wallah!! You would?
Fahad: if we ever got married.
Me: shut up!! … your turn yallah.
Fahad: hmm have you ever met someone 3eed melada nafs yours?
Me: Yes!
Fahad: Yes !!!
Finally! we crushed our lips into each other.
Me: (I pulled away) wait, when is your birthday?
Fahad: January 9th.
Me: ana September 20th
Fahad: I know!
Me: of course you do (I leaned in and placed my lips back on his)
That’s basically what we do when we spend sometime together. We don’t talk a lot about the past or about anything serious … we just enjoy each other’s company and have fun.
…
…
Some days, on the weekends, Fahad and I would walk to the children’s camp, which is a mile away from ours; since we don’t have any competitions or activities to do, We would volunteer to watch over the toddlers. The toddlers only come over the weekends for specific hours
There was this kid, Anderson, he is so cute and funny. He was our favorite. Fahad and I love messing around with him.
Andy: I don’t like your blonde hair.
Me: why so? (I turned to Fahad) hathy sowalfk, enta shem3alm el yahel
Fahad: KAAK wallaa mayebtla 6aary
Andy: I like brown hair better.
Me: and why is that?
Andy: my mom is brunette; my girlfriend should look like her
Me: awwwh that’s cute … you always surprise me with your answers … Fahad, at this kid has some good reason for not liking my hair mu entaaa!! Shnu 3thrk?
Fahad: ohwa yat 3ala your hair color!
Me: what does that supposed to mean?
Fahad: sha3rich, loon 3ainch, 7awajbch, athonich, eadich, rkaabich, koo3ch

Fahad: eeh shfee
It’s perfect!
Me: your eyes are too small and your nose is too big and you have no lips! (I lied)
Fahad: oh yeah.
Me: yeah!
I was too busy arguing with Fahad, I didn’t hear Andy sneeze
Andy: isn’t anyone going to say bless you?
Me: oh … I’m sorry. Bless you Andy.
Andy: thank you, I owe you!
Me: hahaha you’re hilarious!
…
That’s how our days are like. Some days entanajar and some days sh7leelna mafena shay … Sa3at ng3d m3a b3’9 trying to be romantic, bas we all know Fahad, he can’t be romantic … lazm yt6anaz w joke around. I enjoy his comments and enjoy talking back at him, I believe that’s what makes us who we are.
…
One night, Fahad and I sneaked to the lake and got on a canoe and paddled far away from camp and we planed to come back before sunrise before anyone notices that we’re missing.
Me: you know I’m studying interior design. Though for my masters I’m thinking of going for architecture.
Fahad: you wanna start your own business w chethy
He was paddling and I was just sitting there facing him and talking about my future,
Me: laish la2 … but first I wanna I have my own place … a beautiful house where I would build it and design it the way I want

…
That’s how our days are like. We talked about everything … our dreams, our goals, our future; we talk about the things we love; things that make us happy… We never mentioned our pasts though. He has his past and I have mine… Things happened in the past and we’re willing to keep them there; things that we’re not proud of. There is no need to open some close doors. I know both our pasts were painful and a little shameful maybe. There are some things Fahad wants to open up with me about but something is stopping him. Fahad might know everything about my past but I don’t know anything about his. I’ll be more than willing to know it; I’ll more than glad to know anything about him… I’m sure when the time is right he will tell me everything, the good and the bad.
